Stratics IRC Chat

It may take a few minutes for the Java client to connect, please be patient.
If you are getting MS.Java.Socket errors, you need to install Sun Java 2, a free download. Get it here.
Command Reference (Note: All commands start with /)
/HELP Shows general help or help on the given command. /AWAY Leaves a message saying you're away or not paying attention.
/LIST Lists all current channels. /WHOIS Displays information about someone.
/JOIN To join a channel. /INVITE Sends an invitation to another user.
/PART To leave a channel (same as LEAVE). /KICK Gets rid of someone on a channel.
/QUIT Exits your IRC session, (same as BYE and EXIT). /TOPIC Changes the topic of the channel.
/NICK Changes your nickname. /ME Ends anything about you to a channel or QUERY.

Getting Started:
Please choose and enter in different/original NickName in the space provided before entering the chat. If you are using a nickname that is already in use, the IRC servers will alert you, and you will be forced to choose a new nickname. While connected to IRC, simply type /nick new_nickname to change it. This client has a few default channels listed. However, while connected to IRC you can easily change which channel you are connected to by using the /part and /join commands. Simply type in /part #channel-name to leave your current channel and /join #channel-name to join another one. Use the /list command for a full list of available channels. To join a HoC Conference, you need to join the appropriate channel.
